Contestant Sign Up and Line Up

A staple of anime conventions has long been the cosplay contest. Well its time for video game conventions to jump on the same boat. Please read all the directions as followed. Signups will be done in person at 7PM, if you violate any of the below rules YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMPETE.
Costumes should be from a theme of the convention. Video games, anime, comic books and science fiction. You will be required to provide a picture of your character from either a screen shot or concept art of what their from.
We encourage you to have your costume tailored. The detail and love of a custom made outfit will show
Only 40 slots will be filled for the contest with a 2 minute cap. Entries can be either a single individual or a group of individuals (with a maximum of five people).
All participants may only be in one skit for the contest.
All participants must provide their actual names with proof of identification (Sorry, no stage names) before going on stage.
No nudity is allowed.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MAKE A SKIT. You can either just present yourself, pose and be done. However we encourage everyone to do some sort of skit to make your character come alive.
Skits may be submitted for approval before the contest. You can submit via e-mail. If you do not submit it before hand keep in mind that the contest will be a PG-13 event and any script featuring extremely vulgar language and/or offensive material will be disqualified IMMEDIATELY.
Any audio tracks a group may want to use must be provided on a clearly labeled CD which only contains what needs to be played in a CDA (Standard CD Audio) format in the order desired from the first track. There will be no skipping from one track to the next.
You must be 13 or older to enter the cosplay contest. Their will be no children’s division. Anyone 16 or younger must have a parent/guardian present, either on stage or in the crowd while they perform their skit.
All props will be the responsibility of the owner(s) to set up and take down before and after their act.
All weapons must be approved before being brought on stage and no props are to be thrown. You will be held responsible for any damage to property and/or medical bills.
Explosive devices, liquids, gels, or messy materials may not be used on stage.
We may tape or photograph contest entries at our discretion. Entry into this contest constitutes an agreement by the entrants to allow us to use their likeness/image, etc in any current/future advertisement, promotion, or product.
